This site-specific outdoor sculpture, commissioned by Kunsthal 44 Moen in Denmark, marks my first commissioned public work. Created in 2023, it explores the balance between weight and lightness—both materially and conceptually. Cast-concrete forms rise from the ground like architectural remnants, while a classical bench—physically sourced from Copenhagen and mounted on top—introduces a contrasting sense of delicacy and human scale.
By juxtaposing heaviness and fragility, structure and ornament, the work questions emotional weight, structural logic, and the tension between permanence and impermanence.
I developed the concept in response to the local context, supervised the production, and realized the piece on-site in collaboration with a dedicated team.
